DISCOVERY (BLENDED CURRICULUM)

We offer an individualized curriculum, tailored specifically to students needs and development of academic progress. Students are encouraged to indulge in their environment and learn from what they see, smell, hear, and touch. To address the varying abilities of children we incorporate Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences into our daily lesson planning.

Discovery Lane’s mission is to provide an individualized and teacher/student partnership curriculum. Students will be encouraged to be active participants on their learning journey. The inspiration for the curriculum is from the pedagogy of Reggio Emilia.

Eco- Friendly Environment

The importance of caring for the environment is essential. At Discovery Lane we care about keeping our environment healthy. Here are the ways we are Eco Friendly..WE

Reduce the use of paper by sending notifications, payment slips, and announcements via email
Reusable eating utensils and plates
Natural cleaners
Environmentally conscious learning materials
Indoor/Outdoor Gardening
Smoking is not prohibited on premises.
Parents are encouraged to turned off cars when parked, to reduce idling

Healthy & Organic

Healthy eating is essential to proper growth. Students will be served meals that are organic and healthy. Extensive literature research and consultations with a nutritionist were performed to ensure students have quality meals.

Flow of the Day

A schedule is important to any day as it provides students with visual expectations. Variations of the Flow of the Day are influenced by the students, teachers, and developmental appropriateness of each classroom.
